A LEVEL CURRICULUM
KEY STAGE 5
Springboard to University or a Vocational Career
We believe that the combination of online lessons, specialist teaching staff and classes limited in size to 15 create a powerful recipe for much greater success at A level than in a traditional setting. Students enjoy the accessibility of their teachers in such small classes and, indeed, are encouraged to contact their teacher after class for additional help, whenever required. In addition, the vast library of live, recorded lessons that we have generated provides an excellent revision resource for A level students to dip into at any time. It also means that if illness keeps a student from a lesson, the material missed is immediately available to them on their return.
We believe in assisting our students to develop a love of life-long learning by training them in ‘self-directed’ study. Evidence of this is particularly welcomed by universities and it is included on the student’s personal statement. We have a dedicated team of teachers who are happy to help A level students write their personal statements when applying to UCAS, Oxford and Cambridge universities. A strong personal statement is a crucial key to a successful application and our teachers’ experience in this field is a huge advantage to every A level student.
AS Level is a stand alone qualification in all subjects in its own right, as well as being the first half of an A Level. Depending on the entry requirements of the university to which you apply, an AS can add breadth to your A Level qualifications.
